When users submit messages on this site, we collect the data shown in the contact form, as well as the user’s IP address and browser user agent string, to assist in spam detection with Google reCAPTCHA.

An anonymized string created from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to determine if you are using their services. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy. After approval of your message, your Gravatar & email profile picture(s) may be visible to website administrators.

Cookies

If you submit a message, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and other personal data in cookies. These are for your convenience so you dont’t have to fill in your details again, when you submit another message. These cookies will last for one year.

Embedded Content From Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behave in the same way as if the user had visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, if you have an account and are logged in.

How Long Do We Retain Your Data?

If you contact us, the message and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can automatically recognize and approve any follow-up messages instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users who register or use the contact form, we store the personal information they provide as a user contact. All users can request to see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time. Website administrators reserve full autonomy over aforementioned information, unless otherwise specified by the user.

What Rights Do You Have Over Your Data?

If you have have left comments or submitted messages, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obligated to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where is Your Data Sent?

Submitted messages may be checked through an automated spam detection service like Google reCAPTCHA and the Gmail API. Website administrators reserve the right to retain any personal data submitted, unless otherwise specified by the user.
